The story revolves around lies.
And there are 3 reasons as to why a person lies; (谎言有3种：)
1. To protect oneself; (用来保护自己的)
2. To bluff others; (用来欺骗他人的)
3. To cover up for others. (用来包庇他人的)
Shin zan mono refers to both detective 加賀恭一郎 and the victim 三井峯子. Short and sweet. Typical of Japanese dramas. 10 episodes in total. Shin zan mono premiered on April 18 this year on TBS. It became the first drama that is watched by me on the same year as it’s first shown on television. *applause*
For someone who rarely watches drama online (average: <5 annually). One may be thinking, “Why did you watch this then?” Firstly, Abe Hiroshi 阿部寛! I am convinced by his in TRICK 2 シリーズ. Like me, his horoscope is also Cancer! Wrinkles that appears when he smiles using too many facial muscles… are tolerable (similar to our very own Zoe Tay) for his age, which is 46 years old. Unlike those who underwent Botox treatment and ends up with a stiff face, it’s way too natural. By the way, he’s huge too (at a height of 189 cm)! This turn outs to be my 2nd reason for watching. I have a personal liking for tall and mature guys (and he is suave lah!) *girlish giggles*
The ending theme is worth a place in any music player or mp3. 「街物 語（まちものがたり）」 by 山下達郎. Not forgetting his “Ride on Time”, the theme for another Japanese Drama, 「Good Luck! （グッド・ラック）」 which starred Takuya Kimura.
Shall watch the rest of the TRICK series when I am free…
